Hi, I came across this laptop and thought it might be a good deal. The processor type is making me a bit hesitant to make the purchase.

Is this a deal breaker for anyone?

Accessibility wise, I would be running JFW 10 and zoomtext with Vista.

Thanks….

That one is ok, but here is one that I think may be better. I'd like to get this one or a mackbook.

RAM isn't good, as only one slot for it so if it goes, bye bye laptop, and processor speed is a bit on the slow side, but nothing a bit of overclocking can't fix. What do you guys think of it? HP sells it for 700 dollars.

Well, it does support the aditional memory so if I purchased it, for 25 bucks I'd deffinitly purchase an aditional 2gb of ram. IMHO it'd make it a solid machine for the price.

Hmm, the 12 inch size is a plus, but it's also around $300 over more powerful notebooks that are slightly bigger, I just helped a friend get a Sony Vaio with better specs than this for $599 from www.newegg.com, but the size speaks in fvor of this one. I had issues with the last AMD laptop I bought, it overheated constantly, it was their dual-core 32 bit processors though, this one might be better. Also, how well does Jaws work with 64-bit architecture now? Is it fully resolved?
I wouldn't speak against it, but I'd do a bit of a search on either www.buy.com or www.newegg.com just to make sure you cannot get this, or similar, for less.

The 12 inch laptop is great, but it's not cheap. I don't know if there is a great advantage to having such a nice screen being so small. I would prefer it to be at least 14". Portability is great though. For the price, one could find a lot of options.

The Lenovo however, is going for $349, about the price of a netbook. Great deal, but as mentioned earlier, I'm nervous about that processor. The screen size is perfect for working with zoomtext. Also, there is a similar configuration with a dual core chip instead of the single core Intel Celeron, and 2 GB of ram. It's going for $429.

So again, would anyone recommend this?
